5 favorite places by Alexandra Jubé

For years, she was one of the best trend hunters in Paris, working for a big style agency. She decided to follow her own path few years ago and founded her own bureau in 2018. Now she accompanies beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands regarding their strategy and their vision, helping them to identify trends and to find their own way to relevantly address the consumer. With almost a decade of consumption monitoring and insights, Alexandra Jubé’s expertise is now somehow unique. As she spends a part of her time searching for what is happening around the globe, we asked her to talk about 5 of her favorite places on earth.

Parque Lage - Rio de Janeiro

Rio is a stunning city – urban yet totally wild. Both aspects of its nature can be felt here in this park that is in the middle of the city while retaining a tropical atmosphere. In the middle lies an incredible and subtly dilapidated marble building with a pool in the middle and the Corcovado in the background. This building is home to the Rio Visual Arts School, with its small café and exhibitions in permanent rotation and installation. It really is a place where time has no time.

R. Jardim Botânico, 414 - Jardim Botânico

Dimes - New York City

I like having lunch at Dimes when I’m in New York. The food is healthy, tasty, has personality and is not too expensive – and that’s a rare point indeed. I also like it for its Art Direction and its Memphis-inspired interior with colorful tables.

Maison La Minervetta – Sorrento

Pictures cannot do justice to the mood of this hotel in Sorrento – the perfect base for visiting the Amalfi coast. Built into the Cliffside, the terrace, the pool and every single room have a stunning view over the sea and the port below. What is more impressive, however, is the interior. From classics of Italian design to more personal pieces, almost everything is blue and white, curated with exceptional taste. It creates a unique atmosphere. The family-style kitchen table is not to be missed – filled all day long with homemade Italian delicacies.

Via Capo, 25, 80067 Sorrento NA, Italy

The Frankie Shop - Paris & New York City

This, to me, is how a multi-brand shop should look like: clearly styled with a purist selection of brands that are either established or cutting-edge, high-end or accessible, as long as they embody their vision. Obviously, there are some products that you will not find anywhere else and it is this that I love about Frankie, be it in Paris or New York. I also love its masculine-feminine style.

Present & Correct - London

This is a store for stationary aficionados, lost in a small street in London. They have an incredible selection of notebooks, pens and other accessories. Amongst them are many Scandinavian and Japanese brands as well as a good selection of vintage items.
