The Moonstar Company has been producing shoes in Kurume (which is a city located in Kyusyu, Japan).
Kurume first prospered in the rubber industry manufacturing Jika-Tabi shoes. We apply the technology and experience we have gained through our long history to every shoe we make.
Since 1873, we have devoted ourselves to making comfortable shoes for everyone.

Vulcanization is a process that is done in very few factories around the world. Vulcanized shoes are durable, have a flexible sole and can maintain its shape. The fine quality that comes from this process can only be achieved by the hands of a skilled craftsman. We will keep producing “MADE IN KURUME” shoes with pride and confidence.
Shoes Like Pottery and Moonstar collections are created using the Vulcanized method ( Kiln Baked ).
810s ( Eight Tens ) comes from a Japanese saying “ Belly Eight Minutes “ Which means neither full or hungry “ Just right in style, design, and comfort ”
We apply the technology and experience we have gained through our long history to every shoe we make
