Group Description

Glasswing is a clothing, plant, and home-goods shop in Seattle, Washington. Our first location, 1525 Melrose Avenue, sits at the center of a small but impactful marketplace including a farm to table restaurant, artisan butcher shop, and a natural wine bar. We wanted to create a retail space that appropriately represents Seattle, while also providing an engaging environment to be introduced to new products and the designers creating them.

We host a variety of workshops on topics ranging from plant design and care to natural dyeing with food waste to Kokedama – the Japanese art of moss ball planting. As of December 2018, we opened our second retail project just around the corner. Located a block away on East Olive at Melrose, the Greenhouse is our plant and floral design shop, expanding on the plant program at Glasswing. We’re minutes from downtown, on the periphery of Capitol Hill’s shopping district. Come see us next time you’re in town!
